Poker - Upcoming Ladies Only Tournaments

Years ago, women were seldom seen at a poker tournament but that is not the case anymore. So much so, that there are now lots of poker tournaments aimed just at the ladies.
Hammond, Indiana’s casino “The Horseshoe” is holding the next World Series of Poker (WSOP) circuit event. There will be a ladies only tournament on October 26th at 3:00PM. Buy-in for this event is $200 + $35 entry fee. The WSOP holds a series of poker circuit events all across the U.S. Anyone who wins one of the circuit Main Events during this year’s season will also get an entry into the 2009 WSOP Main Event held in Las Vegas.
At Foxwoods Resort Casino, they are holding the World Poker Tour’s World Poker Finals (WPT). This is one of the most prestigious events of the year and they are not leaving the ladies out. There will be a ladies event on Saturday, October 26th at 10:00am. The cost for the tournament is $260 with a $40 entry fee.
In Reno, the Peppermill Hotel and Casino is holding its fall poker tournament. They too will be holding a ladies only event on Saturday October 25th at 2:00PM. The cost for this event is $100 with a $20 entry fee.
On Sunday, October 26th at 10:00am another ladies tournament is taking place at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. The buy-in for this event is $300 + $30 entry fee.
The annual Binions Poker Open is in October and there is an event for the ladies. On Monday, October 27th at 2:00PM the tournament gets underway with a buy-in of $135 + $15 entry fee.
