Want to be on TV?

Article written by Lloyd B Hunt

How would you like to see yourself on TV playing poker? Too easy, I can tell you how. There is a TV show called “Poker Night Live”. This show has two hosts as commentators and often one of them is a poker professional. You won’t see any big names for the professional but they often have Devin `Devo` Armstrong on the show and he has done quite well in several tournaments. They watch a live Sit N Go and comment on how the players play and other topics. The show is five minutes or more behind the action. You can use this as a tool in several aspects.

First off, you get to see everyone’s hole cards and how the play. So, you can quickly tell who the donkeys are and who is so tight, they squeak when they walk. Remember, that the other players are probably watching the same show and can see yours too. Secondly, the hosts will comment on your play. You may get some insights into problems with your game. All that for a few dollars.

The show usually features two tournaments and after each tournament some ring play. It is not uncommon to see the same players on the show repeatedly. I think this is a great idea and over time may expand into some sort of game show.

The show also answers emails and texts; so if you have a question, feel free to ask their professional. The show runs seven days a week and on several sites. You can watch the show on CGTV, Rogers Digital Cable and if all else fails viewed by broadband on the internet (UK program only). More information can be found at www.pokernitelive.com.

So if you want to be one of those Poker professionals on TV, here is your chance. You can show your elite skills to the world and get the experts take on your play.
