Want to Climb Everest?

Article written by Randy G.

I play at a lot of online poker sites. A few years ago, I came across a new site called “Everest Poker”. It intrigued me immediately because they were offering 6 person free rolls, not for much money but it was fun and overtime I had actually built a small bankroll. Not only that, but they also offered $100.00 in free bonus money, no matter what the deposit. So I deposited and earned my bonus and now had a usable bankroll. They still offer that same $100.00 bonus to this day.

This site was the first multi-national and multi-language site I had been on. In the beginning, it catered to the European community and it was rare to see any North Americans on a table. At first, I wasn’t sure of what to make of it. I found these players so aggressive that they never seemed afraid to push their stacks in with absolute nothing. Then I started changing how I played, I would always flat call. My stack grew quickly. Now, there has been such an influx of North Americans that the tables have settled but it is still not uncommon to see an all-in of $50.00 on a .50/1.00 NL table.

The tournaments are excellent and quite varied. I have played in many Sit N Go tournaments and the play is not much different than any other site. The multi-tables are a little different, as I tend to see more of this European aggressive style I talked about earlier. Especially in the rebuy tournaments, I once saw a player rebuy 48 times. I told the player, they would need to place in the top 5 to recoup their money.

So if you’re looking for a new site to try out, I definitely recommend this site. The site is booming and has everything a player is looking for. The $100.00 starting signup bonus is quite a nice incentive. So go climb Everest and I will see you at the top.
